The next League meeting is Thursday, November 1 at 7 p.m. Due to the fire at the Port Norfolk Recreation Center, we are meeting temporarily at the Port Norfolk Baptist Church at 401 Broad Street. See you there.

Memorial bricks and benches are available for
purchase to remember a loved one who has been touched by cancer. Proceeds will
be used to maintain Reflection Walk Park on the riverfront.
Engraved stones will be placed in the Memorial area of the park at the end of Florida Avenue, and benches will be placed all along the walk.
Order forms for bricks and benches are available at the Memorial.
Purchased items will be placed and dedicated twice a year,
in the spring and fall. The fall 2007 dedication will be Sunday, November 14 at
2 p.m.
It's time to renew your yearly League membership! Dues are only $5 per year, and can be dropped off to

Lifsey at 229 Mount Vernon Avenue.

Homeowners are responsible for upkeep in areas near the
alleyways. Tall grass/weeds and debris attract rodents AND crime.
The Neighborhood Inspector is diligently working to enforce city code, including issuing citations and having city crews clean up at homeowner expense if problems are left unresolved.
